ROOTS News: Sept 6-12, 2010

Dear Students,
I can’t believe that Rosh Hashanah is already here, we just started school!
Despite the hectic nature of the holiday season, ROOTS wants to keep you in the know about all upcoming programming this month. Here’s whats you can expect in the coming weeks at ROOTS!
1. Rosh Hashana is just around the corner! If you plan on being in Stony Brook for the holidays and would like meals, services or accommodations, please contact the Hillel office or me directly at 512 299 3676
2. Our Annual Welcome Back BBQ is next week sept 15th at 7pm! Join friends and family for the biggest BBQ of the year! 14 Nadworny Lane, Stony Brook NY. See ya there!
3. ROOTS kicks off its first Lunch and Learn session next week sept 16th at 12pm in the new Delancy Street Deli! Come to learn and we will buy you your first lunch!
4. Join our family for our pre-fast dinner right before Yom Kippur next week at 4:30 on sept 17th.

It is at this time of the year that Tova and I like to express our appreciation to you, the students for being a part of our lives. We are so proud of all of you! To watch each of you grow into proud Jewish leaders is a true privilege. This year, may G-d grant you all that you ask and may you and your families be inscribed in the book of life, health and happiness.
